Why will my gas fireplace not light?
The most common causes are a failed thermocouple or thermopile, a dirty or clogged pilot assembly, a stuck gas valve, or a wall switch or remote receiver that has stopped sending the signal. We test each of these on site and carry the common replacement parts on the truck.
Why will the pilot light not stay lit?
A pilot that lights but goes out when you release the knob almost always means the thermocouple is not producing enough millivolts to hold the valve open. The fix is usually cleaning the pilot assembly or replacing the thermocouple, both same-visit repairs.
